DIRECTION:


I have been drawing with a pencil and paper since as long as I can remember. Being a fan of technology, I am surprised that it took me this long to combine drawing and computers.


My painting/design interest is primarily in spacious and exotic dreamscapes and darker themes, but I will paint whatever comes to mind.


I developed a somewhat practical philosophy based on two thoughts:


A. Photo cameras in combination with photo-editing software can produce much prettier, more realistic and magical visualizations of stuff than any painter ever could (I don’t really believe in the expressionist art).


B. Computers can paint and render as good as humans can, expressive accents notwithstanding.


This helped me decide to concentrate on painting that which is hard or impossible to take a (good) picture of, such as scenes from the past, the future or from places to which we have no (easy) access.


My end goal is photo realism.



TOOLS OF TRADE:


I paint with Photoshop and an Intuos tablet. In the future, once I start incorporating 3d into my paintings I will probably use 3ds max and Vue
